Strategies for Bringing in More Cash

By Brent | Oct 19, 2008

These days everyone could use a little more cash to help pay the mortgage, pay down other debts, or even fund our entertainment budgets. Here are a few ways to bring in some more money for whatever it is you need it for.

Get a Part Time Job- There are tons of places near you hiring part time workers. You may say that you would never work at a fast food restaurant or in a retail store, but sometimes you just need to suck it up and do what needs to be done to get and stay out of debt. One resource I have found is SnagAJob.com. There are tons of opportunities on there and you could be making more money in no time.

Get a New Job- If you’re not making enough at your current job, it may be time to find a new one. There are many job boards out there that can help you find a new job, or even a new career. Careerbuilder.com and Dice.com are my two favorite resources. One piece of advice if you decide to take this route, don’t quit your current job until you find something new. I’m sure you knew that, but some people get a little ahead of themselves.

Make Money Online- The Internet is full of opportunities to make a little extra cash. I’ll blog more about these in the future, but here are some of the most common that you’ll come across.

  • Blogging- Find a topic that you’re interested in, write about it, gain readership, and use ads to make a little extra money.
  • Affiliate Marketing- Sign up as an affiliate for various companies or products and make money when people buy them using your referral account.
  • New Ideas- Come up with an idea for a website that everyone will want to visit and you can be set for life. This is the most difficult of the three, but also the most lucrative.

Steal Money- Only kidding, this is not an acceptable way to increase your cash reserves, so don’t even consider it!
