How Low Can It Go?

By Brent | Oct 24, 2008

With the stock market as low as it has been and worldwide markets sharing our struggles, one can’t help but wonder where we will end up. I’ve seen the analysis and the predictions, but they seem to change just about daily. I’ll admit, I am a little concerned with what I am seeing, but I still don’t think this is the time to panic. Many are tempted to pull their money out of their investments and put them in savings accounts, CDs, and other low risk vehicles. The best plan is to just leave your money where it is. The markets will come back, the value of your investments will come up and will still surpass the amounts you’d be getting elsewhere.

If I had some extra cash right now, I’d be putting it all in to the markets. Investing in a good mutual fund right now would bring in great returns in just a couple of years. By the time we’re out of this recession, or depression or whatever the term they are using today, that money invested now would have grown tremendously. So please, don’t panic, your investments will bounce back eventually and you’ll be back on track in no time
