Fuel Prices Have Dropped… Time to SAVE!

By Brent | Nov 13, 2008

I just drove by the gas station and regular unleaded is down to $1.89 a gallon. To think, just a few months back analysts were saying it was passing $4.00 and headed $10.00 very soon. Now that the fuel prices are back down and there is a little more money in our wallets, what do we do now? SAVE! If you were to save the money you would be paying if gas were still $4.00 a gallon, you’d be able to put quite a bit away for harder times. We’ve learned to live on a little less and instead of picking up our old habits of spending and driving a lot, put that money aside.

If you were able to put aside $50 a month you’d have an extra $600 to work with after a year. This is a good start to a college fund, emergency fund, or even a vacation fund.

On a side note, that book review is coming. I’m really enjoying “Think and Grow Rich” by Napoleon Hill, I am just a slow reader so it is taking longer than I had expected.
